Workload Automation (WLA) is a service provided by Administrative Information Services (AIS) Enterprise Workload Automation and Monitoring group. This Service provides a cost effective, consolidated and scalable enterprise scheduling environment for the University community. WLA manages workload processing by providing centralized coordination, monitoring and error correction across all services regardless of platform or application.

Service Availability

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during official University holidays.

    • SQL Server
    • Oracle
    • Virtualization and Cloud
    • PeopleSoft
    • Web Services
    • File Transfers


Must be a platform or application supported by BMC’s Control-M. Scheduling requirements vary depending on application or platform type.


There is no cost associated with this service.

Intended Users

This service is available to all Penn State faculty & staff with a valid Penn State Access Account.
