Workflow Release 1 -- Deployment Schedule and Feature Set
Release 1 of the the Penn State Workflow System is scheduled for March 24, 2008.
This release is a significant milestone for several reasons:
- Workflow is the first application fully integrated with PAWS (Penn State Administrative Web Suite)
- Workflow utilizes WebAccess which enables users to login with their Penn State Access ID
- Workflow is a role-based approval system which routes processes to approval nodes and acted upon by persons who have been assigned that role
- Workflow is a Web-based process approval system
- The Undergraduate Education Travel Request is the first process to be automated and made available in the Workflow System
Release 1 will be deployed in a limited capacity, will run on the production Workflow System and will perform official, University business. Participating areas include:
- College of Engineering
- College of Arts & Architecture
- New Kensington Campus
