Mainframe File Transfers

This section contains documentation on transferring files to and from the Administrative Information Services (AIS) mainframe computer at Penn State, with separate documentation and software for the Windows and Macintosh operating systems.

Windows uses a program called HostExplorer by Hummingbird Software to facilitate file transfers. Macintosh, on the other hand, relies on Brown TN3270 for TCP/IP file transfers. Both of these programs can be downloaded for free from the ITS Downloads site.
