GRADS Access for Faculty

The Graduate School has an Application for Admission that provides all staff who have the proper ISIS authorization to review applicants' digital portfolios using the Graduate Admissions Decision System (GRADS).

Faculty members must have inquiry-only access to the GRADS to review the new online application digital portfolio.

Access to the GRADS requires:

  1. GRADS-specific, inquiry-only (administrative level 3) ISIS profile for all program codes needed. The request is for ISIS screens AGR, AGD, and AGZ.
  2. Before any student-related access is granted, the user must successfully complete the FERPA online tutorial. Information can be found on the FERPA Tutorial page of the Registrar's Web site.
  3. A Second Factor Authentication Token.

To obtain access to the GRADS for a faculty member, the Access and Security Representative (ASR) should follow these steps:

  1. Download the GRADS Administrative Inquiry Access Form
  2. Fill out the form completely.
  3. Enter the department codes needed for access.
  4. Obtain the required signatures (requesting ASR and faculty member) and send to:

    Network Operations
    310 Kern Bldg.
    University Park, PA 16802

The information will be reviewed and verified by the Graduate School Data Steward, signed and forwarded to the AIS Security office, who will process the access request.

Once the faculty member has been granted access to the GRADS, he/she may log in to the system to review applications and materials.
