Undergraduate Education Travel Request (UGTR) Deployment Schedule

Release 1 of the the Penn State Workflow System occurred on March 24, 2008.

This release is a significant milestone for several reasons:

  1. Workflow is the first application fully integrated with PAWS (Penn State Administrative Web Suite)
  2. Workflow utilizes WebAccess which enables users to login with their Penn State Access ID
  3. Workflow is a role-based approval system, which routes processes to approval nodes and acted upon by persons who have been assigned that role
  4. Workflow is a Web-based process approval system
  5. The Undergraduate Education Travel Request is the first paper-based process to be automated and made available in the Workflow System

Release 1 was deployed in a limited capacity, runs on the production Workflow System, and performs official, University business. Participating areas include:

  1. College of Engineering
  2. College of Arts & Architecture
  3. New Kensington Campus
