Penn State's Data Warehouse provides information on students, employees, classroom facilities, applicants, and financial transactions. It allows access to institutional data for analytical and reporting purposes. The data is non-modifiable and provides a snapshot of time-fixed data.

General Information

Hours of Availability

Data Warehouse is available 7 days per week, 24 hours per day

Note: On occasion, server and/or database maintenance activities might interrupt this schedule.

System Requirements

The Data Warehouse is compatible with the Windows and Macintosh platforms that have ODBC connectivity. More information can be found in the Connecting page in the Help and Support section below.

Obtaining Access

New Data Warehouse users are required to take a Web-based mandatory training course. See the Access to Mandatory Training Course page for more information.

  1. If you do not already have an AIS Account, request one through your Access and Security Representative (ASR).
  2. Access to the Data Warehouse provides a user within the University access to significant amounts of institutional data, some of which is confidential. Please read User Responsibilities for a complete overview.
  3. Select the database from the list below and submit a request to the assigned Data Steward. For additional information on each database see Penn State's Data Warehouse Database Documentation.
