Non-Natural Rewrite Project
The goal of this project is to rewrite the Non-Natural application code that is used by ISIS. This generally means converting COBOL and Assembler modules to Natural. In some cases, the conversion is done on a one-to-one basis, meaning one Non-Natural module becomes one Natural module. In other cases, several Non-Natural modules that do a similar function are grouped together and are rewritten as one Natural module.
Notes:
- The Natural debugger can be used to guarantee replaced subroutines are called.
- COBOL allows a parameter to be passed with a larger format then defined in the subprogram. Natural demands exact format size and length formatting and will abend if they do not match.
