PC Approval Path Maintenance System--New Features in Version 2.0

The Global Change is a new selection to the Main Menu. By selecting this, the user will be asked if they would like to Change All paths or change just the paths associated with a mnemonic.

  1. If the Change All option is selected, the user will then be prompted to enter the old userID and the new userID.
    • Once these have been entered, the user will press Enter and the system will change all occurrences of the old userID to the new userID.
    • If the user leaves the new userID blank, the system will delete all cells that contain the old userID and any proxy that is associated with the old userID.
  3. If the Change by Mnemonic option is selected, the user must select one from a list of defined Mnemonics.
    • After the Mnemonic is selected, the process will work the same way as Change All except that only the Paths in the selected Mnemonic will be changed.

Insert and Delete Rows

There is a new selection across the top of the approval path edit called Row. This will allow the user to Insert or Delete rows in the approval path record.

  1. By selecting Row, the user will be asked if they want to Insert or Delete a row.
    • The selection can be done by either moving the highlighted bar to the selection and pressing Enter or by typing the first character of I(nsert) or D(elete). The user will then be asked which row number is to be Inserted or Deleted.

Note:

If there are entries in Row 8 and the user Inserts a new row, the information in Row 8 will be LOST.
