Generalized Interface (GI)

GI enables developers throughout the University to use a variety of programming languages to design Web applications that perform business functions using AIS data. The GI facilitates the exchange of information between departmental systems and central AIS databases, using the Interface as a "bridge" to AIS data and a "repository" for Web services.

General Information

Hours of Availability

The GI is available 7 days per week, 24 hours per day.

Note: On occasion, server and/or database maintenance activities might interrupt this schedule.

Browser Compatibility

The GI has been tested and confirmed to work properly with the following Web browsers and operating systems. Functionality in any other browsers and operating system combinations cannot be guaranteed:

Windows
Internet Explorer 6.0 and above, Netscape 7.0 and above, Mozilla 1.0 and above, Firefox 1.0, and Opera 8.0 and above

Macintosh
Internet Explorer 5.2 and above and Safari 1.2.3 and above
