Central ID Repository (CIDR)

CIDR provides information on various ID functions throughout Penn State, including password and Social Security Number (SSN) changes. CIDR contains biographical information used by various systems across the University, including the University’s PSU ID and SSNs, Digital IDs (Access or Friends of Penn State (FPS) accounts), addresses, and dates of birth that can be used for matching records.

Hours of Availability

CIDR is available 7 days per week, from 7 a.m. through 3 a.m.

Browser Compatibility

CIDR has been tested and confirmed to work properly with the following Web browsers and operating systems. Functionality in any other browser and operating system combinations cannot be guaranteed:

Windows
Internet Explorer 5.0 and above, Mozilla 1.0 and above, Netscape 6.0 and above, and Firefox 1.0 and above.

Macintosh
Netscape 6.0 and above, Safari 1.2.1, and Firefox 1.0 and above.

Obtaining Access

All requests for access to CIDR functions must be submitted by your Access and Security Representative (ASR) to the Administrative Support Center via electronic mail.  Please refer to the page below for detailed instructions.
