RedDot Content Management User Guide

A Web CMS enables you, the content expert, to have control over your content without requiring knowledge or experience with HTML, Web site design or management. Using a Web browser interface, a Web CMS provides you with the flexibility of adding and updating content, via templates, at your convenience. Your pages may remain in the CMS as “work in progress” until they are ready to be published to the production Web site. At that time, you can submit your page(s) to workflow where they will be reviewed by the Workflow Editor, released and published to the production Web site.
A Web CMS is not a Web development or design tool. The look, feel and functionality of the Web site is administered by the Web Team and offered via templates. At this time, creating forms or dynamic functionality is not available. If your needs include a Web form of any nature (e-mail, database, etc.), please submit a Request For Service (RFS) to the AIS Web & Communication Services Team.
