Create a New Web Page

Use the following steps to add a page from a section or standard page. You must 'expand' the bulleted link list to create new links from which a page can be created and connected.

Step 1. Open a section or standard page to view the available dynamic link lists.  In the desired list, click on the Link RedDot.

Step 2.  From the Edit Link Element menu, select Expand Dynamic Link and click OK.

Step 3. A new link will be required for each new page. Indicate the number of new links you wish to add to the list.  Deselect the 'adopt link name' to ensure that the default name is provided.  If you forgot to deselect this option nothing wrong will happen -- just potential confusion.  Click OK.

The desired number of links will be displayed on the page.

Step 4. The next step is to rename the link and create and connect a new page.  On a newly available dynamic link, click on the Link RedDot to begin this process.

Step 5 -- two-part process. Scroll down to the 'Rename Link' portion of the Edit Link Element menu.  Rename the link to reflect the page that it will link to.  Note: The name entered here should match the Headline name that you will give the page.  Do not click OK after entering the link name.  If you accidentally click OK after entering a link name, you will simply repeat Step 5 and go directly to the second step in the process.

Rename Link

The second step of this process is to Create and Connect a Page to this link.  After the link name has been entered, scroll to the top of the Edit Link Element menu and select 'Create and Connect Page.'  Click OK.

Step 6. From the 'List of Templates', select the template that is appropriate for the type of page you are creating.

Step 7. After selecting the Template, you will be prompted to 'Enter Page Headline'.  The page headline serves two roles: (1) should match the link name to ensure consistency in linking and navigation, and (2) is the main identifier of the page.  Again, this Page Headline should match the Link Name that was given in Step 5. Enter the page headline (preferably less than 20 characters) and click OK.

Enter Page Headline

Step 8.  Navigate to the page by clicking on the link that was just created. Mandatory information is required for each new page. Until this information is provided, you will not be able to submit the page to Workflow. Use the following steps to complete step.

Open the page via the RedDot Open Page icon.
