If you have problems after following the steps in this document, contact the AIS Support Center for assistance at (814) 863-2276.
To accomplish a file transfer using the following instructions, you will need:
Important:
When examples of file transfer commands are given, the following conventions are used:
-
HOST.DATASET.NAME = the mainframe Data Set Name (DSN) and
-
C:\FILENAME.EXT where: C:\ = the PC target drive and path and
-
FILENAME.TXT = the PC file name and appropriate extension
> Caution:
If you specify a data set name that already exists on the mainframe when you send a file, your PC file will overwrite the mainframe file. Likewise, if you specify a PC file name that already exists, the newly transferred file will overwrite your PC file when you download.
