Move Existing Links (and pages) from One List to Another These are the steps that you should use when moving a link from one bulleted list to another bulleted list on a Main Section page. For example, you may wish to reorganize your pages into a different grouping, into different bulleted lists, etc. Doing a copy/paste of the text and link will not work. Instead, use the following steps to achieve this task. Step 1. In an open page, click on the dynamic link for the page you want to move to another list.
Step 2. From the Edit Link Element menu, select Delete Dynamic Link
Step 3. You will be prompted to confirm your selection, ensuring that you want to delete the link to this page. Please note, this step does not delete the page -- only the link in this list. Click Yes.
Step 4. The next step is to add a link to this page from a different bulleted list. In the desired list, click on the Link RedDot.
Step 5. From the Edit Link Element menu, select Expand Dynamic Link and click OK.
Step 6. A new link will be required for each new page. Indicate the number of new links you wish to add to the list. Deselect the 'adopt link name' to ensure that the default name is provided. If you forgot to deselect this option nothing wrong will happen -- just potential confusion. Click OK. The desired number of links will be displayed on the page.
Step 7. Click on the dynamic link reddot for the newly created link. This is a two-step process. First, from the Edit Link Menu, enter the page headline in the Rename Link field (bottom of the menu). The bulleted list will be displayed with the new name of this link.
Second, Click on the dynamic link reddot for this link and select 'Connect to an Existing page'.
Step 8. You will use the RedDot Search function to locate and select the page. A portion of the Search capability is displayed below. Additional search criteria may be used to locate a page. The most commonly criteria are 'Search text' and 'Headline'. Enter text that is somewhat descriptive of the page you wish to locate, i.e. Hours of Availability. This entry can be placed in either the Search text or Headline field. An exact match is not required if the 'Return similar results' is selected. Click Start to begin the search.
Step 9. The page you are moving will appear in the search results denoted with an "x" which means that page is not connected elsewhere. Click on the name to connect this page to the desired bulleted list.
