Utilize Scheduled Appearance Feature (New page only!) We have discovered that one should NOT set an appearance schedule in RedDot for pre-existing pages. It's best to use the appearance schedule only on new news items that will display in the news box. What happens if you set an appearance schedule on an pre-existing page? When you make updates to the page, the appearance schedule tells the system to avoid displaying anything until the date you've indicated. For example: You make a change to the FIT section home page. You add a new link and set an appearance schedule for Feb. 2nd. Once your page is in workflow and released to be published the entire FIT home page will be removed from the Web site until Feb. 2nd. Establishing an Appearance Schedule for a New Page You can determine a specific date for a page to appear "live" in production. Please allow 24 hours in advance for the page to be processed in workflow. Next click on the "..." button to view the calendar. Choose a date and click "Ok".
