...within arms length, yet miles and decades apart. Computer Operations is moving to Shields--home to the .NET Development Group. Somewhere deep inside AIS's fabric is a classic data processing organization that still handles almost a million batch jobs PER YEAR on IBM Mainframe Computers. And, at the hair-on-fire leading edge of on-line services, AIS is also responsible for the hosting and development of ANGEL services University-wide, where we regularly handle almost a million Web service requests PER HOUR on Dell Intel-based Industry Standard Servers.
