Ethnicity Field Changes

Affected Population: Officially enrolled Students prior to Spring 2009

The following fields on the "official" and "enrollment" databases have been populated for all students for all historical semesters. These fields represent the students reported race/ethnicity based on the mandate in the Federal Register from the Department of Education (Vol. 72, No. 202, October 19, 2007):

Field "rpt_ethnicity_code" table "uf_ofcl_enroll"
Field "rpt_ethnicity" table "enrl_cycl_fa"
Field "rpt_ethnicity" table "enrl_cycl_sp"
Field "rpt_ethnicity" table "enrl_cycl_su"

This field was populated, for students prior to Spring 2009, to the new 3 byte reported race/ethnicity value by converting the students existing ethnicity code "code-pers-ethnic".
