IBISFIN Table Changes--Field Size Increase

The following fields in the IBISFIN database have had their field size increased:

NUMB_VEND_DET_INVOICE - new size is 25 bytes
NAME_VEND_ABBREV - new size is 20 bytes

The following tables in the IBISFIN database are impacted by this change and will reflect the field size changes:

dbo_ibis_detail#1
dbo_ibis_detail#2
dbo_ibis_subobject#1
dbo_ibis_subobject#2

**The following tables were also impacted by the change but not noted in previous e-mails:

dbo_uf_ibis_detail#1
dbo_uf_ibis_detail#2
dbo_uf_ibis_subobject#1
dbo_uf_ibis_subobject#2

If you have an existing Microsoft Access database set up to go against the IBISFIN database, you need to re-link your tables to pick up these changes. Please do the following steps for all existing databases which use the above changed tables. To re-link your tables:

  1. Open existing Microsoft Access database (filename.mdb).
  2. From the menu toolbar in the top left hand corner of the screen, select Tools -> Database Utilities -> Linked Table Manager.
  3. The new window which opens up will display all of the tables which you are currently using for this database. If any of the above changed tables are in your database select them, and then push the OK button.
  4. You will see a dialog window stating "All selected linked tables were successfully refreshed".
