Penn State Information Systems Directory Moved to PAWS

Posted: Thursday, October 22, 2009

Gaining access to important data, services, and Web sites is now easier than ever before! That’s because content from the Penn State Information Systems Directory, which provides pertinent information about Penn State administrative systems and data sources, has been moved into PAWS (Penn State Administrative Web Suite)--paws.psu.edu.

PAWS, which is quickly becoming known as the place to go on the Web to get work done, already serves as a single launch point for a diverse collection of administrative functions and applications. These include Employee Services, Faculty Services, Adviser Services, and Financial and Business Services. Eventually, the majority of Penn State’s administrative functions will reside inside of PAWS.

The Systems Directory housed information about a number of unique data sources that now will add to the number of resources available at one location, paws.psu.edu. For example, the Penn State Fact Book is now accessible through PAWS, as is information about the OPP Work Request System, where work orders can be created or tracked. Information about LionCash, the Computer Store, University Libraries, and even the Trees of Penn State--formerly accessible through the Directory--is now available through PAWS.

More information about PAWS, including help and user guides, can be found on the PAWS page of the AIS Web site
