Checklist for New AIS Users

Welcome to Administrative Information Services. The AIS Web site serves as the primary informational resource for users of AIS through intuitive, efficient mechanisms for locating information about and obtaining access to administrative systems and support facilities. Our site mission includes enhancing the efficiencies of administrative computing users by providing functional, timesaving tools and current information. When relevant, Get Started information is available for systems and services, and is found on the main page of that system or service.

Before accessing and using AIS systems and services, you'll want to take a few, general steps to get you started:

1. Access Account

Most Penn State and AIS systems require a PSU Access Account in order to logon.
Contact your local Access and Security Representative or advisor to acquire an account.

2. Learning / Training

Visit the Training Opportunities for Administrative Computing section for the latest seminar offerings or to request a training on demand program.

3. User Groups / Listservs

If you use a particular AIS system, then sign up for the corresponding listserv for immediate announcements and discussions.
Visit Penn State's listserv page to learn about other University listservs.

4. Essential News

The Essential News box found on the AIS home page lists AIS-related announcements.
