FIT User Permissions

If a FIT user does not have the proper permissions for the 'ibisfit' directory and all sub-directories, FIT may not function correctly.
Window Requirements:

User must have the following permissions for the 'ibisfit' directory and all sub-directories:

  Full Control
  Modify
  Read & Execute
  List Folder Contents
  Read
  Write

To check permissions for user:

Select the ibisfit folder.

Right click >> select "Properties".

Select 'Security' tab (or option).


Mac Requirements:
User must have the following permissions for the 'ibisfit' directory and all sub-directories:

  Ownership & Permissions:
  You can Read & Write

  Details:
  Owner: user (The user must have admin permissions)
  Access: Read & Write

To check permissions for user:

Select the 'ibisfit' folder.

Select the 'File' drop down menu from the top of your screen. (Main window menu bar).

Select 'Get Info'.

View the contents of the 'Ownership & Permissions:' section.

Note: If the user installing FIT is still receiving permission errors, please try the following steps:
Launch the Disk Utility from the Application --> Utilities directory.
Select the 'HD'
Select 'Repair Disk Permissions'
Install FIT
