After Installation The first time FIT is launched after the initial installation, it will create the following four folders within the folder ibisfit. fitrpts - stores financial reports. FIT does not search any other folder when displaying lists of available reports. Do not rename or delete this folder. data - stores FIT system files. Do not alter, rename or delete any file from this folder. Do not rename or delete this folder. excel - stores FIT export files. Do not rename or delete this folder. Export files may be renamed or moved from this folder. components - this directory is no longer used. componentsConfig - stores FIT update system files. Do not alter, rename or delete any file from this folder. Do not rename or delete this folder. Additional folders may be added to the ibisfit folder. For example, a folder may be added to keep Excel files exported from FIT from FIT windows. FIT keeps an options file with the personal preferences that can be established for each FIT window. After upgrading FIT, the options for each FIT window should be checked. Some upgrades of FIT will not be able to preserve your options from the previous version and will set them to their default value. A personal backup strategy is very important since FIT does not automatically back up its data. Talk to your tech support person about the backup procedures in your department.
