Fall Grade Reporting Change Freeze Begins
Date: Thursday, December 10, 2009
University students, faculty, and staff have high expectations of availability, response time, and stability when using the University's Administrative Information Systems. Any change to a system or process increases the risk that those expectations cannot be met. Therefore, we have adopted a "change freeze" policy that we will implement during critical periods for designated processes. The policy prevents the implementation of any change to a critical process and related services, as well as implementation of new processes during a specific time frame.
The Fall Grade Reporting process is designated as a critical period. Administrative Information Services will not process changes to any production applications except for BSR, eSteward, EIS, and the Imaging systems nor will new applications be implemented. Please note that this INCLUDES firewall changes.
The "change freeze" period for Fall Grade Reporting is:
December 10, 2009 through and including January 4, 2010
If a system failure dictates that you make an operational critical update to your system or application or need assistance in planning for the freeze, please contact Clyde LeFevre at 814-865-2302 or Steve Strickler at 814-863-3966.
