eCommerce Migration Project

We have established our new, enhanced eCommerce environment.  The new environment will provide numerous enhancements which include issue credit receipt capability, reporting and improved performance. We will begin the migration of merchants/departments from our "old" eCommerce system to the "new" eCommerce system throughout the month of October.  Overall, this should have minimal impact on your eCommerce processing.  The major points are listed below:

• "SWITCH" DATE
  -> On the date that your department is "switched" over, all registered users for that merchant will receive a notice that they are now using the new eCommerce system with a link to detailed instructions.

• EPAY AND EPAY HISTORY WILL NOT BE AFFECTED.
  -> ePay and ePay History links (url's) and processing will remain unchanged.

• NEW MERCHANT ADMIN - tool's for issuing credits and generating reports.
  -> You will be given a new link (url) to the Merchant Admin tool.
  -> You will logon to the NEW Merchant Admin with your University Access Account and Password.  The special eCommerce password has been eliminated.

• CREDITS
  -> New "Issue" Credit Receipt capability now available.
  -> Credits must be issued against the system ("old" or "new") they were authorized under. 

• DAILY ROCR E-MAILS
  -> Designated recipients of the ROCR “Detail” and “Summary” e-mails will receive two sets of e-mails until 12/31/04. The reports will be easily identified.
  -> For IBIS ROCR merchants, when applicable, total's from both e-mails can be combined onto one ROCR form.

eStore Releases Enhancements

The eStore application has been redesigned for enhanced usability, improved navigation and a more pleasing lock.  The benefits released this month have been designed to improve access to and use of the eStore Store Administration tools.  We have listed the significant enhancements below:

• eSTORE ADMINISTRATION SINGLE LOGON
  -> The separate eStore User ID and password has been eliminated.  Authorized eStore administrators will now authenticate one time with their University Access account and password.

• MULTIPLE STORES COMBINED IN SINGLE LOGON
  -> eStore Administrators can access all of their store sites from the new Store Admin home page with a single logon. Administrators will no longer be required to logoff/logon when accessing their authorized list of store sites.

• CHANGE
  -> Links have been included to provide an on-line request for updating permissions, requesting changes, and asking questions.

• eSTORE HOME PAGE(S) AND NAVIGATION BARS
  -> The Home Page Once you click into your store, you will see an admin menu bar across the top, right below the banner images.  The "Store Admin" link will take you into your Store admin tools, along with a link back to the store home page, and a link to log off.

SSN PROJECT

Please be aware of the Social Security Number project .

eCommerce services (ePay, Merchant Admin, and eStore)  WILL be available during the SSN conversion.  However, you should be aware that if you are accessing eCommerce from a non-eCommerce web application, i.e. eLion, your web application may not be available during the SSN conversion timeline.  Please visit the SSN Project Web site for the latest information!

REMINDER NOTICES (Previously released Announcements)

UPDATING ACCESS TO eCOMMERCE SERVICES

There is now an online form for updating access to eCommerce services.  Changes (additions or deletions) to Merchant/Departmental administrators access to eCommerce Services (IP Address, ePay, Merchant Admin, Daily distribution of ROCR e-mails, and the eCommerce Users List serv) MUST be processed through this form.  We will no longer be able to process requests via e-mail.  We will process all change requests within two (2) business days.  A copy of the change request will be distributed to the applicable Financial Officer for that eCommerce account/department.  The online form is available on the eCommerce home page.  See Updating Access to eCommerce services.

We now have Four eCommerce Training Tutorials available online for ePay Authorization, ePay History, Merchant Admin Credits/Refunds and Merchant Admin Reports (ROCR, Credits and Statistics).
