eCommerce Loss of Service - Sunday, November 7th
A Shields Building power outage on November 7th will result in a loss of eCommerce service from midnight to noon on Sunday, November 7th. Please see our announcement for more details.
We have established our new, enhanced eCommerce environment. The new environment provides numerous enhancements which include issue credit receipt capability, reporting and improved performance. We have initiated the migration of merchants/departments from our "old" eCommerce system to the "new" eCommerce system. To date, we have migrated the majority of our ePay (Virtual Credit Card Terminal) customers and many of you may have received "Switch" notification e-mails. We expect to complete the full migration to our new system over the next few weeks. For more information on the switch, please see our "Switch Notice".
We are looking at the week of January 24th, 2005 for our next eCommerce Users Group Meeting. I'll provide more details when we have a firm date. In the meantime, please send your suggestions for agenda items. See our eCommerce Users Group Home for past meeting notes and other information.
The project to automate the posting of eCommerce IBIS transactions to the Report of Cash Receipt (ROCR) is still under way. The project team will be meeting on November 4th. More details to follow.
Please be aware of the Social Security Number project .
eCommerce services (ePay, Merchant Admin, and eStore) WILL be available during the SSN conversion. However, you should be aware that if you are accessing eCommerce from a non-eCommerce web application, i.e. eLion, your web application may not be available during the SSN conversion timeline. Please visit the SSN Project Web site for the latest information!
Administrative Information Systems (AIS) provides numerous eCommerce related services including ePay (a Virtual Credit Card Terminal), ePayment (API), and eStore Hosting for departments at Penn State University. There is now an online form for updating access to eCommerce services. Changes (additions or deletions) to Merchant/Departmental administrators access to eCommerce Services (IP Address, ePay, Merchant Admin, Daily distribution of ROCR e-mails, and the eCommerce Users List serv) MUST be processed through this form. We will no longer be able to process requests via e-mail. We will process all change requests within two (2) business days. A copy of the change request will be distributed to the applicable Financial Officer for that eCommerce account/department. The online form is available on the eCommerce home page. See Updating Access to eCommerce services
Did you lose or forget your browser links to ePay? Go to our new ePay Links Page, where you can find links to Merchant Administration, ePay Credit Card Authorization and ePay History pages!
We now have Four eCommerce Training Tutorials available online for ePay Authorization, ePay History, Merchant Admin Credits/Refunds and Merchant Admin Reports (ROCR, Credits and Statistics). These interactive tutorials are good refreshers or a great tool for training new personnel on the functions and features of eCommerce! Go to our eCommerce Training tutorial page for more information.
