ePay Credit Card Swipe Service Introduction The ePay Credit Card Swipe is an optional service available to users of ePay for processing credit card transactions via electronic "swipe." This scan service is for those departments needing to process "Card Present" credit card transactions. The ePay Credit Card Reader is a device that the department orders directly from the AIS recommended vendor for a nominal charge of $165. The Card Reader device is connected between the PC and Keyboard. A simple configuration process will enable the Card Reader device to work with ePay. Operation The Credit Card Administrator “swipes” information from the credit card through the ePAY Credit Card Reader. At this point the cardholder name, credit card number, expiration date and credit card terminal number is automatically populated into the ePay “Credit Card Authorization” screen. The Credit Card Administrator then clicks on the Submit button to obtain credit card authorization. An acknowledgement or receipt page will display for approvals; a red Error message if transaction is declined or fails to authorize. Potential Savings There is no charge for ePay and a nominal $165 one-time charge for each credit card reader. Therefore you can replace your old credit card terminals with ePAY and/or the Credit Card Reader and save those monthly credit card terminal and telecommunication charges! It is a significant times-savings and keystroke reduction for those locations accepting card present transactions! Ordering Information AIS has tested the 2000m Magnetic Stripe Reader from Scantec to work with ePAY. Due to the many different models of card swipe devices available, AIS will only support the model listed below: Click here for more information on the Model 2000M Magnetic Stripe Card Reader from Scantec. Additional Information Please see the ePay Card Swipe section of our ePay Users Guide for more details and information on configuring the Card Reader. |
