Business Continuity

Business Continuity is the ability to maintain critical University services and functions during or after an event which may cause an outage or disruption.

Penn State’s Administrative Information Services (AIS) can help you create an individualized Business Continuity Plan to keep your organization operational during and after an event.

Business Continuity is a process used to restore operations after an unplanned interruption of normal business processes that is beyond the immediate ability of an organization’s normal staff and management structure to control. The recovery response includes information systems, networks, hardware, software and people—not just data.

AIS can provide a suite of tools and services to aid you in creating your comprehensive Business Continuity Plan. This plan will guide you during both natural and man-made disasters—allowing you to restore your unit functions quickly and with minimal impact.
