gradappl database new table

The gr_english_scores table has been added to the gradappl database. This table displays the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores. The Graduate Council approved the evaluation of IELTS in lieu of the Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores in February, 2006.

The mainframe data elements were designed to account for any future versions testing English proficiency that may be available from any source.

The table will be updated daily. The following fields are available in the gr_english_scores table:

ADABAS Name
Description

NUMB-PERS-ID
A unique assigned number used to identify a particular person. 
 
CODE-STUA-SAMX-YRTM
The semester an applicant's application is being processed for.

CODE-PERS-ENGL-SCORES-NAME                      
The name of the company that performed the testing.
                                      
CODE-PERS-ENGL-SCORES-SOURCE                   
The source of a person's test of English as a Foreign Language.
                        
CODE-PERS-ENGL-SCORES-TEST-TYPE                 
Determines whether the score was paper-based, computer-based or internet-based.
         
DATE-PERS-ENGL-SCORE-TAKEN                      
The date that the test of English as a Foreign Language was taken. 
                    
QNTY-PERS-ENGL-LISTENING-SCORE                  
The score obtained by a person on their listening test of English as a Foreign Language.

QNTY-PERS-ENGL-READING-SCORE                    
The score obtained by a person on their reading test of English as a Foreign Language. 
 
QNTY-PERS-ENGL-SPEAKING-SCORE                   
The score obtained by a person on their speaking test of English as a Foreign Language.
 
QNTY-PERS-ENGL-WRITING-SCORE                    
The score obtained by a person on their writing test of English as a Foreign Language. 
 
QNTY-PERS-ENGL-TOTAL-SCORE                      
The total score obtained by a person on their test of English as a Foreign Language.
