Printing AIMS Reports There are two ways to print your AIMS reports: Printing via HTML Various Internet browsers and browser versions will not print data contained within a Java applet. To print an AIMS report click on the Printable HTML Page link on the Generated Report window. A new Internet browser window will open with an AIMS report. To print this report click on File - Print. Printing via Excel You can Export AIMS report data to Excel from the Generated Report window or the SpreadSheet window. Use the print option within Excel to print an AIMS report Save the report to a file OR Open in Excel Note: If the report is saved to a file, the user can start Excel to open the file. The report should be saved with a file extension of .csv or .xls   Known Internet Browser behavior when using the Excel links in AIMS: Running in Microsoft Windows 2000 and using Internet Explorer 6.0 Click on the Excel Report link located on the Generated Report window Click on the Ledger as an Excel Report link on the SpreadSheet window Note: You may not get the Microsoft Windows dialog giving you the option to save or open a downloaded file. Microsoft Windows will automatically open the Excel file in a new Internet Explorer window. From this new window, go to menu option: File - Save As Netscape Communicator 4.71 and above By default, when Netscape Communicator is installed it includes Helper Application file extensions associations Click on the Excel Report link on the Generated Report window OR Click on the Ledger as an Excel Report link on the SpreadSheet window If Communicator opens the window below--or any window which is not the Excel file-- then the helper application file extension needs to be added Note: Please contact the AIS Support Center at (814) 863-2276 for assistance with installing or associating the helper application file extension for Netscape Communicator. When you click on the Excel Report link on the Generated Report window or the Ledger as an Excel Report link on the SpreadSheet window, Netscape Communicator will open a dialog asking you if you would like to save or open a downloaded file. If you choose Open the File, Netscape Communicator will open the file in Excel -- as well as a new Netscape Communicator browser window that contains nothing; close this page. Note: This is due to the way Netscape Communicator interprets Java Script. There is not yet a solution for this issue concerning the AIMS application. Netscape 6.1 and above 1.
