AIMS Access All AIMS users need the following in order to access AIMS: A Penn State Access Account from Academic Services and Emerging Technologies An Integrated Business Information Systems (IBIS) Security Profile. AIMS access control requires that all users have AIMS function assigned in their IBIS security profile. For assistance, contact your Access & Security Representative Pentium 200 or faster, or a PowerMac with 48 megabytes of RAM recommended There are various Internet browsers and browser versions available for use with AIMS. AIMS uses both Java and Java Script coding languages - which each Internet browser may interpret differently - thus creating the need for a Java and non-Java version of AIMS. Due to technical limitations, the non-Java version of AIMS does not contain all of the reporting functionality that the Java version contains. Macintosh Internet browsers currently interpret Java script differently than Windows. At this time, a Macintosh can only use the non-Java version of AIMS.
