Account Information Management System (AIMS)

AIMS is a Web-based system designed to allow faculty members access to the financial status of their sponsored project accounts. AIMS provides summary fiscal information regarding principal investigators' grants and contracts. It is not intended as a comprehensive account-reporting tool; rather, it provides a snapshot of the account - in familiar agency budget formats. This gives project personnel a sense of where the project is financially. AIMS accesses the Data Warehouse- resulting in significantly improved response times - balanced against a data latency of up to twenty-four hours. Most faculty members are able to access all sponsored project accounts without having to obtain specific access authorization. Access is automatically granted via the IBIS account creation process.
