Frequently Asked Questions - Access
QUESTION: How can I obtain a SecurID token?

ANSWER: The SecureID token is a four-year card, and changes numbers every 60 seconds. Your (ASR) Access and Security Representative is the main person for doing any security-related business with AIS. Contact your ASR and request a SecurID token which enables you to access AIS. Your ASR will do one of two things:

1. Order the SecurID for you,
- OR -
2. Ask you to submit an IDCC to Molly Kline (MZK2) for the amount of $31 per token. Include on the IDCC the name of the user and their AIS userid.

QUESTION: How does a SecurID get locked?

ANSWER: The SecurID is a third means of confirming you are who you are. Much like a password, if the SecurID number is entered incorrectly into a system, access will be denied. You are allowed to enter five consecutive wrong numbers before the SecurID will be locked.

1. Verify that your 'NumLock' key is on

2. If still locked, try reentering your SecurID using the numbers located above the letters on your keyboard. If successful:

3. Click on the 'Host Explorer' icon

4. Choose "EDIT," and then select "OPTIONS"

IBIS Log-on Screen

5. You will see the following screen. Select "TERMINAL," and then "KEYBOARD"

Session Profile- Terminal options

6. You will then see the screen below. Here, make sure that there is not a check in the box labeled 'Ignore NumLock State'
