Planning & Documentation
In order to fulfill its daily mission and effectively plan for the future, Administrative Information Services (AIS) documents its Annual Reports, Strategic Plans, Master Plan, and Future Direction.
Annual Reports
The Pennsylvania State University operates on a Fiscal Year budget cycle starting on July 1 and ending on June 30 of the following year. As such, all units of Information Technology Services (ITS) produce an Annual Report based on the Fiscal Year calendar. This section includes Annual Reports for Administrative Information Services (AIS) from FY2003-2004 through the present.
Strategic Plans
As a unit of ITS, AIS produces a Strategic Plan approximately every two years. This section includes Strategic Plans from 2004 to present, including any interim updates.
Master Plan
In early 2006, the AIS Strategic Planning Steering Committee charged AIS, a unit of ITS, to develop a Master Plan for administrative information systems at Penn State. This plan continues Penn State's long-standing vision that collaborative administrative information systems best serve the needs of Penn State's stakeholder communities, which includes students, faculty and staff, central offices, and administrative offices across all campuses. The Master Plan supports the University's strategic planning process.
Future Directions
For future planning purposes, AIS looks out 3-5 years. This section includes the most recent documents related to future administrative computing projections.
Enterprise Project Reviews
At the completion of all multi-year enterprise projects, a project review will be prepared to summarize the goals, activities, and outcome of these projects for learning and historical purposes. This section includes project reviews for general availability to stakeholders and sponsors.
